Bryan Dobbs plays guitar, mandolin, and other instruments and is also a producer. He's so busy he doesn't even have time to write his own bio (believe me, I've asked.. a lot) So instead of leaving this space blank, I decided to write something that admittedly no one will most likely ever read because c'mon, who really reads all these bios? era of his childhood and he continues to absorb and preserve this historical music artform to this day. Forrest knew no bounds as far as music goes. He fell in love with hard rock and heavy metal at age 10. And became serious about jazz at age 15. Music from Africa struck him to his core at age 16. And then Celtic music - both Scottish and Irish - took hold soon after that. Something about the music of Ireland, in particular, really spoke to him. So much so, that this African/Celtic musical epiphany eventually sent him headfirst into a tireless search into his own cultural history. When he moved to Atlanta in the mid-90s, he was immersed in the hip-hop and Underground Soul scenes that were booming there at that time. It’s a mystery as to why all of this is... which suits Forrest just fine.
